The sisters Daniela and Marzia Banci are now a sort of warranty of great quality and evident symbolic value defined by the shapes of their sumptuous ornaments.
Every single piece bears the absolute value of the material, thus enhancing the artistry of goldsmiths, who become original creators and artists.
The small size of their jewellery encapsulates all the problems and tasks of passionately executed and charmingly composed refined poetry, which experiments with new colour and material combinations adopting ever-challenging techniques.
They distinguish themselves for their creativity and innovation, and combine mastery of traditional techniques with brand-new trends.
Two stunning pieces, a ring by Marzia and a pendant by Daniela, have been added to the precious, rich collections of the Tesoro Mediceo in the Museo degli Argenti (Palazzo Pitti, Florence).

The Banci’s jewellery always originates from clearly-defined projects that enhance symbolic references, from careful analysis of shapes and geometric designs which associate freely with natural elements. They use materials in unexpected ways, tirelessly working on them to distress them and to create contrasting effects. Clean, linear jewels evolve into complex constructions in which past symbols and educated references to the Italian cultural heritage are personally elaborated.
In their works, traditional materials are combined in surprising ways to produce masterly-crafted shapes in an array of subtly tweaked pieces reminiscent of Cubist geometry or Baroque plates. Exhibitions of their works in important museums reveal their ability to blend styles of the past with inspiration drawn from nature, as respected critics have keenly observed.
Comparing and contemplating them will certainly prove to be stimulating.
